Quality Assurance

In order to ensure a high and stable standard of quality in diagnostics, the following measures are taken in our practice:

1. Personnel:
The medical technical assistants take part regularly in the in-service training of the DGN, practical experience-specific trainings, and courses of the regional institution for person dosimetry instruction and radiation protection.

2. Technichal equipment quality control:
By order of the practice proprietor, all technical equipment is checked by the manufacturers every six months according to schedule.

3. Certification of the practice:
The Certificate of the DGN was conferred regarding the implementation of PET/CT, based on the autonomous examination of more than 1000 patients and other quality standards. Up until now, roughly 5000 PET or PET/CT examinations have been carried out in the practice.

In addition, the practice is certified regarding the enforcing of the ISO 9001: 2000 (TÜV SÜD) and the management requriements of the BGW for occupational health and safety (MASS-BGW). A Certificate of quality assurance in medical laboratories according to § 4a of the Medical Products Regulation Operator has furthermore been received.
